Present

The Furry era!

As of the present years, I have gone full furry in how I present myself online and the type of music I make. In early 2023 I adopted the name Dima Foxpaws, and finally felt completely comfortable in my fox identity.

One of my goals at this time was to update my fursona. The silver fox had served me well since very early on, but I wanted to do something to update the design, thinking of options such as arctic, cross fox, or even the "sparkledog" of fandom yore.

When comissioning millilu for the art for my album GET PUPPED!, I went with the concept of a blue fox, though had not quite finalized my decision on how to update my fursona.

It was at Anthrocon 2024, when I came across the Pinu Studios cross fox suit, which spoke to me. Having been considering a cross fox as the potential update to the fursona, I stared into the eyes of this suit and it stared back to me. I felt I had found myself.

Putting it on for the first time, as my first fursuit, I finally felt at home in myself. I had never once thought that a fursuit could truly make me feel this way. Though as early as 2014 I had considered one, I always wrote it off as unnecessary. Little did I know how much it would mean to me.

This was the year I got back into making music after a long drought, and even peformed a song live at Anthrocon 2024, which was one of the most self-actualizing experiences of my entire life. I had never once felt so real, and so seen. The experience of fursuiting was unlike any other, and now I can't get enough.

And that's the story of my fandom history! I hope you enjoyed this little read, hearing about how furry has been with me through my entire career as a musician and artist.
